For the Twilight Fans, Again

Remember the cupcakes I came across last year that commemorated the release of Eclipse? Well, I'm a little late in posting this, but a local bakery made a very special Breaking Dawn cupcake a few weeks ago.

Reader, I ate it.

Oh it's just too much fun. Although do you know what's *not* fun? Not actually seeing Breaking Dawn in the theater, just being a sad half hanger-on by taking a picture of a cupcake with a photo from the movie.  When I suggested seeing the movie to a certain someone, that certain someone countered with Harold & Kumar (which I have nothing against, but that wasn't the point).  My life.  It's the kind of thing where I would probably have to ask to see this with Kevin as a Christmas gift, the resistance is that high.

You're saying to yourself: why don't you go see it with a friend? And then I would mutter to myself: most of my friends would react that same way as Kevin. I'm an outlier. It is my burden to bear. And I bear it with all kinds of angst, half-gasps, and incoherent sentences.

  1. HEHE...my husband and I made a deal that I would go to the rest of the Harry Potter movies with him (I think I was roped into 6 and both parts of 7) if he went to the Twilight movies with me (I didn't catch in on the fun until I read the books and New Moon was coming out). Hope you get a chance to see it!

  4. Kevin said that you can go!! I've read all the books, but I didn't love them near as much as many other people did. In fact, I've only seen the first movie. But, I hope you get to go.

  5. I'm all about "theme" snacks when it comes to seeing movies. Breaking Dawn is worth seeing as long as you appreciate it for what it is (vampire drama) and not expect it to be what it isn't (award winning). Kevin - enjoy!

  6. Hahaha, my husband refused to go with me too. I have a friend that also read the books and we both think they're absolutely ridiculous and awful and wonderful, so we always go see the movies together. This movie was ridiculous too. You definitely need to see it with someone who will appreciate it for its uncomfortableness and humor (we laughed through the whole thing, even the parts that weren't supposed to be funny). Hope you get to see it soon!
